Kiss of Crimson (The Midnight Breed, Book 2)

Kiss of Crimson - Lara Adrian Just a 2 star rating on this one. It was okay, but it didn't really leave an impression on me. The characters didn't feel very real or distinct. And there's just far too much of the book spent going "Oh he can't be a vampire, eek he's a vampire, oh no, vampire! eek!" Well, not in those words, but it got really annoying, and I was just thinking "get over it already and make some plot!"
Very predictable and uninspiring all the way through.
People say that Lara Adrian has copied from JR Ward's black dagger series, and I can kinda see how people would say that, the big bad vampire guys all live together in an undeground compound and they don't care about romance, just fighting. Oh, until they meet a breedmate and fall in love, that is. Only, if she was going to copy it, could she have done a better job and copied the characters personalities too, then at least they would HAVE personalities?!
